How are tornadoes formed?
Tornadoes form from quickly rising warm air within a thunder cloud. The rising wind hits  cold air that is moving in different directions, and starts to rotate. When the rising, rotating air keeps moving faster, the column of air grows larger and longer, and can reach to the ground. The rotating air moves so fast that it makes a grumbling noise. Tornadoes are formed by severe thunder storms.
